I started writing children's books looking for something I had trouble finding: stories where a small child learns to be a good friend, to tell the truth, to work as a team, and to step up when someone has to lead.

That's how Bompy and the Forest Friends began.

Nothing scary lives in the Happy Forest, and no villains either. The problems are small ones (a misunderstanding, a mix-up, a little fear) and they get solved by talking and helping. Every character carries a value: Bompy's kindness, Joni's leadership, Maxy's good judgment, Compi's courage, Nico's friendship. The child only sees the adventure, and the rest stays with them on its own.

I write for ages 3 to 7, the age when the same story gets asked for fourteen nights in a row. Short sentences, easy to repeat, and one simple idea to carry into the next day.
